METCO Block Party Celebrates Community

We closed the summer with our Back-to-School Block Party, surrounded by the laughter and joy of our students, the love of our families, and the presence of alumni, educators, partners, and community members, we were over 1,000 strong! We played, danced, reconnected, and celebrated what it means to be One METCO. It was a beautiful reminder that METCO is not simply a program students participate in.

A special thank you to Coca-Cola, Ben & Jerry’s, and Cradles to Crayons for helping make our Back-to-School Block Party a memorable day for METCO students and families. From creating moments of joy and connection to providing backpacks and coats to help families start the school year prepared, each partner played an important role in showing what community support can look like in action.
