From its origins in Ruth Batson’s living room on Humboldt Avenue through its decades as an after-school hub on Dimock Street, METCO, Inc. has affected tens of thousands of children and families seeking educational opportunities. Today, METCO, Inc. remains a leading non-profit organization fighting for racially integrated, excellent schools across Massachusetts and the country.
In addition to providing the central administrative system to enroll 3,300 Boston students in 33 suburban school districts each year, METCO, Inc. offers programming and resources to participating students, families, and educators.

In the heart of historic Roxbury, METCO, Inc.’s newly built headquarters serves as classroom, meeting space, community forum, and historical exhibit.
